The Ashley Academy Parent Teacher Organization (AAPTO) has a primary goal to express teacher appreciation throughout the year with several events designed to encourage our teachers. We want to thank them for their help and show our gratitude for all the time and effort they have put in our children’s education. There are two fundraisers sponsored by the AAPTO to help support classroom needs as well as other sponsored events and services.
It’s never too late to join the AAPTO! Please print this Membership Form (2011-2012) and turn it into your child’s teacher or the school office. Upcoming meetings are announced in the weekly school newsletter, on this section of the website, and emailed to current PTO members. Recent news regarding the AAPTO is shown below.

The PTO’s 4th Annual Holiday Shop will be held during school hours on Thursday, Dec. 8 and Friday, Dec. 9 in the library. Let your child do some holiday shopping for friends and family and learn money handling and budgeting skills at the same time. There are a variety of items, and prices range from 50 cents to $5 and up. If you fill out the wish list with your child, it will help them remember who to shop for, and they can decide how much to spend on gifts.
The PTO plans to send home envelopes specifically marked for the Holiday Shop, and the date of your child’s assigned shopping day will be listed. You can send cash or checks made payable to AAPTO. Volunteers will be available to assist children while they shop and gift wrapping is also available. Please see the attached flyer with pictures of some of the items we have available. A wish list is also attached. Thanks for your support of the PTO! This fundraiser will help the PTO make Teacher Appreciation Week in May a big success.
