Upper School
At Ashley Academy’s Upper School, we prepare students in grades 9-12 for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom. Our unique approach nurtures personally responsible individuals who are critical thinkers, problem solvers, and possess a high emotional intelligence (EQ).
Our curriculum is designed to develop confidence and ensure students are college and career-ready. Students experience a college-like schedule with an individualized program that includes dual-enrollment opportunities and off-campus classes. Our curriculum promotes independence and research-based inquiry to foster a love of learning and the ability to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
The Upper School pathways program encourages purposeful and student-directed research, internships focused on innovation and design, and opportunities to engage with the community. Students can make a difference by creating new products or solutions, utilizing existing resources in novel ways, and exploring the arts and humanities through craftsmanship and skill-building.
Community involvement plays a central role in our students’ education, as they work to meet local needs, solve existing problems, and serve others. Through public interaction and engagement, students develop leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and self-efficacy while fostering interpersonal relationships.
At Ashley Academy’s Upper School, we empower our students to become well-rounded individuals, prepared to excel in higher education and beyond, and make a positive impact on the world around them.
